What does it mean to just "be"?
How might we turn our faith to acknowledge where we are at this moment?
How can we appreciate the perspective of others even if it is different than our own?
"Being" with Jesus and "being" as positive and productive as possible will give us strength.
Be Changed
Sometimes we need to be changed or to change ourselves (metanoia). Where do I need to be more generous and altruistic in service of God and others? How do I become more obedient and faithful to do what God calls me to do and have courage to be myself? Where do I need to leave my comfort zone, to put out into the deeper water?
Challenge This week say yes to a change God is asking you to make in your life.
Be Connected
St. Paul invites us to “Be Connected” with God through prayer in both petition and thanksgiving. Prayer reduces anxiety, gives us peace of mind and heart, and grows our confidence in God’s power. In these challenging times, prayer can also connect us with one another in new and different ways.
Challenge:
Spend a minute this week praying a prayer of gratitude.
Be Accepting
This weekend’s parable invites us to the wedding feast along with other unlikely guests. Our response to the invitation is to accept and to wear the wedding garment. What is the wedding garment we need to put on? Being Last, Being Changed, Being Prayerful, Being Connected, and Being Accepted. God is looking for more than us “just showing up”. He is looking for to be fully present at the feast.
Challenge
INVITE SOMEONE INTO YOUR BUSY LIFE THIS WEEK. TO LUNCH, TO A PHONE CALL, FOR A WALK, ETC.
