What: “SCHOOL SUPPLY DRIVE.”Collection of school supplies to help offset the cost of preparing for children’s school year for underprivileged families.
For many years, our parish has helped our children return to school equipped with all the materials and supplies required to learn and do well in class. Each student needs to be ready to start the school year with all the tools necessary to succeed. As our schools will begin before Labor Day, our school supply drive is being held earlier this year on the weekends of August 13th and August 20th. Your contributions of supplies especially backpacks, along with folders, crayons, pencils, pencil cases, red, blue, and black pens, erasable pens, notebooks, highlighters, loose leaf paper, and 3 ring binders, post-it notes and dry erase markers will help to make the start of school easier and more affordable for many families. Last year’s supplies went to many of the children from our community and nearby areas.
If you know of a family that could benefit from this outreach, please call or text Maureen Dorney at 973-615-9050 and/or Marilyn D ‘Amelio at 201-213-1151.
