Baptism
What: Baptism instruction is a preparation class for young parents to bring Children to the Lord through Baptism. Young couples are needed to volunteer to assist Deacon Bob Morton in running the class.
When it happens: Once per month (10 classes per year)
Time commitment: Volunteers can pick one or two classes of the 10 evening classes. Time commitment is 2 hours for the evening class.

Pre-Cana
What: Pre Cana is a marriage preparation class for engaged couples. Volunteer couples are needed to assist with hospitality and/or give a 20-minute talk based on Living a Joy Filled Marriage (book).
When it happens: Twice per year on a Saturday in the spring and in the fall
Time commitment: Two Saturdays per year

Holy Communion to the Homebound
Who it benefits: SVM parishioners who are unable to attend Mass due to age, disability or sickness.
When it happens: Year-round on Fridays
Time commitment: In addition to time required to become a Eucharistic Minister, the volunteer will communicate with their designated recipient in order to coordinate date and time of visit, attend Friday a.m. Mass, obtain pyx with consecrated host then deliver/distribute host to communicate after spending time with him/her in conversation and prayer.
