Deacon Bob Morton was ordained as a deacon on May 5, 2001 at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Paterson. Deacon Bob and Eileen, his wife of 41 years, have lived in Rockaway Township for 35 years and came to St. Vincent Martyr Parish in September 2010. Prior to coming to St. Vincent Martyr, Deacon Bob served at St. Clement Parish in Rockaway Township for nine years where he was involved in numerous ministries and activities. A graduate of Fairleigh Dickinson University he is currently employed full-time by Medco of Franklin Lakes, NJ and previously worked in telecommunications for over 25 years after serving for four years in the US Air Force.
Deacon Bob serves on the Paterson Diaconate Advisory Committee as well as the Paterson Diocese Diaconate Formation Team. At St. Vincent's, he is the staff liaison to the Social Justice Outreach Committee and with his wife, Eileen coordinates the Baptismal Preparation Ministry Team.
Deacon Bob and Eileen have three adult children: Brian, Kara, and Patricia and two grandchildren: Kelly and Ryan. Deacon Bob attended RCIA and received the Sacraments of Initiation in 1994.
