Rev. Msgr. George F. Hundt was ordained as a priest of the Paterson Diocese in 1981. Prior to ordination, Fr. George attended St Mary’s University and Seminary in Baltimore, Maryland and Montclair State College in New Jersey. He also received a License in Canon Law from Lateran University in Rome in 1988. During his 30 years as a priest of the Paterson Diocese, Fr. Hundt has served as the Vice Chancellor and Priest Secretary to the Bishop as well as the Director of Priests Personnel. He has ministered as Pastor at St. Gerard Majella in Paterson, St. Anthony Parish in Hawthorne and since 2009 at St. Vincent Martyr Parish in Madison, NJ. Since coming to St Vincent Martyr, Father George has been instrumental in guiding and steering our parish Evangelization Program, Envision. Under his direction, the parish embraces our Vision Statement and is moving forward as a parish family with our focus on those goals.
Fr George received the NCEA Distinguished Pastor Award in 2009 and he also serves as a Trustee on the Board of St. Joseph Healthcare System.
