The mission of the St. Vincent Martyr RAS is to encourage a greater devotion to 

the Blessed Virgin Mary through prayer and good works for the spiritual benefit of our parish family.

Joakim, “Jack” Chaoussoglou as a guest speaker to our meeting on February 10. Jack was born in Greece and came to the United States as a Fulbright Scholar to attend college. For 35 years he taught middle school students science. When he retired in 1996, he took up the study of iconography. He spent time with monks in the Greek monasteries of Mount Athos and Attica studying the writing of icons. He then studied under a Russian iconographer for more than 15 years. Jack has written more than 500 icons which can be found in churches and homes in North America, Central America, Europe, and Africa.
